Board of Directors - Vice Chair

Elana Yonah is the co-founder of the George Lucas Educational Foundation and creator of EDUTOPIA.org, the most widely used online video magazine in K-12 education for 30+ years.

She then founded Just Think in Marin City in 1995 and with her team, grew it to a $50M company serving diverse and distressed young people. They developed critical thinking, creative expression skills, and tech mastery to tell their stories through films. Their works were shown 3 years in a row at the Sundance Film Festival, 3 times at International Children’s Summits in Paris for UNESCO bringing 600 kids from 50 countries each year, and at the International Peace Conference in Dubrovnik.

In addition to offering programs throughout the USA, Just Think set up physical offices in 17 countries.

Elana is a 33 year resident of Sausalito and continues to work supporting non-profits and social enterprises in the start-up phase. Elana was a competitive athlete enjoying gymnastics and sprinting through college. She became a world-champion Ultimate Frisbee player, learning first with the men's teams, then starting women's team in the US and abroad.

She now aspires to be walking injury-free at 106 years old thanks to Mallory Gaston’s comprehensive conditioning curricula. She looks forward to sharing these life-long practices with the next generation of future fitness leaders.
